Tracy founded Therapeutic Links with visions of supporting the surrounding communities with the most progressive and effective Occupational Therapy resources, education, and services that could be offered, as well as, working closely and holistically with families. To this day her dream has come true. Therapeutic Links has grown to include team members with the same vision and has been able to reach more people than ever expected. This has been made possible with Tracy’s emphasis on the importance of a relationship-based moel, learning from each other and continually seeking out more information to bring to the table.
Tracy graduated from University of Wisconsin Madison with a Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy. During her schooling, she was an ABA home therapist where she was able to get hands-on experience of where she wanted to make her mark with children with special needs. She presents on several topics to parents, school staff, daycares, preschools, directors, other therapists and more. Tracy taught classes on Sensory Integration to student teachers at National Louis University with professor, author and motivational speaker Patrick Shwarz, PhD. In addition to being the director and founder of Therapeutic Links, Tracy continues to work with children and families privately and through Early Intervention. Helping children makes her smile and reminds her of one of her purposes in life. Tracy has persued many certifications and additional trainings as a commitment to education and progressive treatment approaches.
Tracy's certifications include: SIPT (Sensory Integration and Praxis Testing), MNRI (Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration) Core in Training Level 2, Aquatic Therapy and Rehab Institute, Interactive Metronome, Therapeutic Listening, and TMR-Tot (Total Motion Release- Tot) in progress.
Tracy has additional trainings including: Miller Method for chilren with autism, Myofascial release, NDT, craniosacral therapy, QRI (Quantum Reflex Integration), self-regulation programs (The Alert Program, Zones of Regulation, Conscious Discipline), pelvic health and potty training, RMTI (Rhythmic Movement Training International, RDI (Relationship Development Intervention), DMI Level B (Dynamic Movement Intervention), TEACCH Autism Training, DIR Floortime, SOS Approach to Feeding, Braingym, NeuroNet Learning, Vital Links Sensory Integration courses, behavioral approaches to treatment, Handwriting Without Tears and many more. Tracy is also a credentialed Illinois Early Intervention Provider and Evaluator.
Outside of Therapeutic Links, Tracy enjoys hanging out with her husband and 3 kids, boating, being active outside and snuggling with her dogs, Bean and Leroy.
