Tracy founded Therapeutic Links with visions of supporting the surrounding communities with the most progressive and effective Occupational Therapy resources, education and services that could be offered, as well as, working closely and holistically with families. To this day her dream has come true. Therapeutic Links has grown to include team members with the same vision and has been able to reach more people than ever expected. This has been made possible with Tracy’s emphasis on the importance in learning from each other and continually seeking out more information to bring to the table.
Tracy graduated from University of Wisconsin Madison with a Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy. She presents on several topics to parents, school staff, daycares, preschools, directors, other therapists and more. Tracy taught classes on Sensory Integration to student teachers at National Louis University with professor, author and motivational speaker Patrick Shwarz, PhD. In addition to being Director Tracy continues to work with children and families privately and through Early Intervention. Helping children makes her smile and reminds her of one of her purposes in life.
Career trainings include Sensory Integration and Praxis Testing Certification, MNRI (Masgutova Neuro Sensory Motor Reflex Integration), Therapeutic Listening, Interactive Metronome, Myofascial release, NDT, Self Regulation programs (The Alert Program, Zones of Regulation, Conscious Discipline), Behavioral approaches to treatment, Handwriting Without Tears and additional courses focusing on sensory integration attention, handwriting and body strengthening. Tracy is also a credentialed Illinois Early Intervention Provider and Evaluator.
Outside of Therapeutic Links Tracy enjoys hanging out with her 3 kids and husband, being active outside and snuggling with her dogs “Bean” and "Leroy".
