Sarah is a licensed and registered occupational therapist who lives in Vernon Hills. She attended the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Movement Sciences. She later attended Governors State University, where she earned her Master of Occupational Therapy degree. As someone whose family has been impacted by a neurodegenerative disease, she has a special interest in the dynamic interplay between the mind and body and its effect on function and participation. She has continuing education training in several MNRI techniques (Dynamic and Postural Reflex Pattern Integration, Facial Reflex Integration, Lifelong Reflex Integration, Neurotactile Integration, Neuro-Structural Reflex Integration, Stress Hormones and Reflex Integration, and Proprioceptive and Cognitive Integration), Dynamic Movement Intervention, Sensory Integration, Oral and Respiratory Integration, DIR Floortime, Therapeutic Listening, Astronaut Training, and Early Intervention. She enjoys crocheting and performing with the flute ensemble Flutopia, and she has recently won a national title in competitive Whirlyball. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and two pitbulls, Gypsie and Genie.
