Individual Occupational Therapy Sessions at Therapeutic Links may look different for each client. Our sessions are specifically tailored to meet the needs and the goals that the client and family have established with their occupational therapist.
For example, a young child's occupation may be slightly different than a teenager. The differences may be even greater with an adult client and what season the adult client may be in. Regardless of our client's age, what our treatments have in common are the areas that our skilled occupational therapists address:
Activities of daily living (basic self-care tasks such as eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming and mobility to perform these tasks)
Instrumental activities of daily living (more complex skills that are required to live independently in the home and community)
Sleep and rest
At Therapeutic Links, our holistic approach for each client help in developing skills that will optimize that client's ability to function and thrive in the variety of settings. We also incorporate each individual's strengths to address other areas that are more challenging.
Specific areas that we address for improving a client's quality of life include the following:
Sensory processing skills
Executive functioning skills
Fine and gross motor stength and coordination
Visual perceptual or motor skills
In order to engage our clients in learning and developing these important skills, we have access to a variety of settings:
Our clinic is equipped with a gym, fine motor room, individual and group treatment rooms, a functioning kitchen and laundry area, and an outdoor yard space and raised bed garden
Pool (See Aquatic Therapy)
Gymnastics Center (See Gymnastics Setting)

At Therapeutic Links, we strive to meet the therapeutic needs of each and every client and family that we provide service for. How can our skilled and committed occupational therapists improve yours or your loved one's quality of life?
