Individual Occupational Therapy Sessions at Therapeutic Links may look different for each client. Our sessions are specifically tailored to meet the needs and the goals that the client and family have established with their occupational therapist.
For example, a young child's occupation may be slightly different than a teenager. The differences may be even greater with an adult client and what season the adult client may be in. Regardless of our client's age, what our treatments have in common are the areas that our skilled occupational therapists address:
Activities of daily living (basic self-care tasks such as eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming and mobility to perform these tasks)
Instrumental activities of daily living (more complex skills that are required to live independently in the home and community)
Sleep and rest
Work
Education
Play
Leisure
Social participation
At Therapeutic Links, our holistic approach for each client help in developing skills that will optimize that client's ability to function and thrive in the variety of settings. We also incorporate each individual's strengths to address other areas that are more challenging.
